Poulan Chain Saw Review

We're happy to report that Poulan chain saw is one tough cookie when it comes to building chainsaws that offer performance and durability. They have a reputation for not messing about and get right down to business offering quality tools for the occasional weekend use or for the on the go professional who cuts wood daily.  Our Poulan chainsaw reviews are positive.

Many of the Poulan chainsaws come with a carrying case, two-stroke oil, bar oil, Oregon brand saw file, extra chain and a multi-tool used to adjust the chain, replace spark plugs and tighten up loose screws. It's a good thing it does come with this tool, as this line of saws does seem to need to have the tension adjusted frequently. Poulan also features spring-type vibration isolators that do a credible job to eliminate vibration in the saw's handles.

Poulan Pro Chainsaw Reviews

Servicing for Poulan chainsaws is fairly straightforward and fast. Both gas and chain oil caps come off easily and there are no problems resealing the caps. Although there may be the occasional leak, most owners report a leak free experience with this line, particularly if they hang them up properly. Fueling a Poulan chain saw is a breeze. The chain brake, which is a built in safety feature, seems to be well located and works without any noticeable problems.

Another nice touch with this line is their "Quick Adjust" chain tensioner, which works way better than the usual adjustment screws, plus, these beauties start on the second or third try without choking. Although there have been reports that the bar tensioner nuts may not hold as well as one would expect.

Most owners report Poulan Pro chainsaws are easy to use, efficient and really nothing is more straightforward than start and go on demand. The only proviso is that the chain is kept nice and sharp and properly tightened.

If you happen to prefer dog spikes on your chainsaw, Poulan doesn't use them. Dog spikes let you apply more force while sawing because the spike digs deep into the wood's surface. All in all though, that is a minor con.  The Poulan chainsaw review is definately a good one.
